West Ham are ready to reject £100m offers for Declan Rice with the club keen to build their side around the influential midfielder.
Rice has enjoyed an excellent start to the season and has developed into an integral part of the West Ham side in recent seasons, captaining the Hammers this term as David Moyes’ side seek Champions League qualification.
The 22-year-old’s performances helped the Hammers finish inside the top six last season and West Ham will not entertain offers for the midfielder as the club look to build a side capable of securing Champions League football on a regular basis.
Rice is a reported transfer target for several of the Premier League‘s leading sides with Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea linked with a move for the England international, though the Sun are reporting that West Ham are ready to reject record-breaking offers for their prized asset.
Rice has turned down two contract offers at the London Stadium across the past year, though West Ham are hopeful of persuading the midfielder to remain a part of their project with investment from a Czech billionaire edging closer.
Daniel Kretinsky is understood to be in the final stages of purchasing a 27% stake in the club, a situation that will lessen the pressure to sell Rice and provide funds for David Moyes to strengthen his squad.
Rice has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract and West Ham will hope the club’s performances this season can persuade the England star to stay, with the Hammers’ currently third in the Premier League after last weekend’s 3-2 win over Liverpool.
