I don’t see it’ Paul Scholes explains why Man united need to appoint ‘a long-term manager as soon as possible.
Speaking on BT Sport, Paul Scholes said:
“United need a long-term manager to build because they have big problems. You’re telling me Antonio Conte couldn’t come in and get them anywhere near Liverpool and Manchester City?
” I don’t see it. It will take a couple of years for Man United again, which isn’t something we want to talk about, to get the squad right and the way of playing right to compete with those two Clubs.
“I think there’s a lot of quality, but it still feels like we’re short of players. We’ve said this for four or five years. But if they bring a proper coach in, a new coach bring the best out of this players?”
The Club have postponed appointing a full-time coach until the end of the 2021/22 season, maybe the club will have to look to hire an interim head manager instead.
However Michael Carrick will remain in charge for the Premier League game against Chelsea while the club try to appoint 63 year-old Ralf Rangnick on a six-month deal (contract).
