Manchester United have reached an agreement to appoint German experienced coach Ralf Rangnick as their interim manager following the exit of Ole Gunner Solskjaers.

Ralf Rangnick who currently works at Russia giant Lokomotiv Moscow as their head of sports and development, has agreed a six months contract at Old Trafford, before moving into a consultancy role for an initial two-year period.
The 63-year-old is believed to have rejected an initial contact offer from the Reds, but have now accepted improved terms.

United despite sounding out Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino, as their number one target to replace Ole Gunner Solskjaers on a long term basics, did confirm at the time of the Norwegian departure that they plan to bring an interim boss to the end of the season.

Pochettino is understood to be prepared to leave PSG for Old Trafford at this moment in time, but the French club have already rejected United’s first move for him, meaning the Reds have stuck with their original plan of bringing an interim manager.

Although the deal isn’t just quite over the line yet, Rangnick is poised to fill Solskjaer’s shoes, meaning he’ll bring a wealth of experience and know-how to the club.

United Fans appears to believe that Rangnick’s past experience and footballing knowledge could benefit for the club massively moving forward both on and off the pitch.

Although he may only be in the manager’s position for a few month, his upstair role beyond that period could prove to be invaluable for the clubs future both on short-term and long-term.
