Manchester United former midfielder and recent club manager, Michael Carrick has taken a tough decision to leave Manchester United despite their 3-2 victory over Arsenal on Thursday.
The English Man, Carrick confirmed his resignation ahead of Ralf Rangnick forthcoming arrival as the new caretaker and interim manager.
Following the decision to sack Norwegian boss Ole Gunner Solskjaers, the former United midfielder was appointed as the meantime manager.
Carrick took hold the Reds, giving them victory in against the Spanish side Villarreal in the champions league and 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
Michael Carrick made his final time as Manchester United manager, taking charge of the match against Arsenal and securing a 3-2 win.
However, the English professional have served Manchester United for 15 years now, both as a player and manager. He’s truly a legend.
Speaking on the decision to leave United immediately after their victorious night against Arsenal he said,
“Yes, it’s not been an easy one to make, to be honest.
“I feel it’s the right one. I’m content with my decision, I feel quite happy.
“I think I’ve thrown myself into working here for so long that it just feel like it’s the right time to step away”. Carrick disclosed.
