Donny van de Beek has reportedly been ‘offered’ to Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund on loan with the midfielder keen to leave Manchester United in search of regular first-team football.
Van de Beek made just four league starts during a disappointing debut season last term and has failed to win favour once again this season, featuring for 68 minutes across seven substitute appearances in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old has lost his place in the Netherlands side as a result and is keen to leave as he bids to regain his place at international level, with the Manchester Evening News reporting that Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund have been offered the chance to sign Van de Beek this month.
Van de Beek has not been included in the past three Dutch squads and is determined to improve his chances of involvement at the Qatar World Cup in November.
It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils sanction a loan deal for the player, despite his prospects having failed to have improved since Ralf Rangnick arrived as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s successor.
Rangnick praised the midfielder following his cameo in the win over Aston Villa on Monday evening, hailing the ‘control’ that Van de Beek helped bring during the second half at Old Trafford. He has, however, so far shown a reluctance to start the Dutchman.
Everton were also interested in a loan deal for Van de Beek during the summer but saw a late approach fail in the closing stages of the transfer window.
