Barcelona are understood to be prepared to give ‘everything’ in the race to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
The Spanish side are ready to rival Europe’s elite for the signing of Haaland, whose €75m release clause is set to spark a scramble for his signature during the summer transfer window.
Sport are reporting that Barcelona will be able to compete financially in the race for Haaland, despite the financial issues that have impacted the Catalan club in recent months.
It is understood the club’s winter window business, which included the signings of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres and Adama Traore, has not compromised Barcelona’s pursuit of Haaland as the club look to sign a talent their next side can be built around.
The departures of Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto at the end of the season will free additional room in the wage bill, whilst both Luuk de Jong and Memphis Depay could be allowed to leave to fund a deal for Haaland.
The Norway international has scored 80 goals in just 79 appearances since signing for Dortmund, with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City believed to be leading the race for his services.
Manchester United and Chelsea have both been linked with the 21-year-old, though their interest is believed to have waned in recent months.
Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also monitoring his situation in what promises to be a fascinating battle to sign Europe’s most-coveted forward.
