Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a ‘mega offer’ to keep Kylian Mbappe out of the clutches of Real Madrid.
Mbappe is out of contract at the end of the season and expected to sign for Real Madrid on a free transfer, having been the subject of several offers from the Spanish side in last summer’s transfer window.
The France international has maintained that no decision has been made on his future despite approaching the end of his deal at the Parc des Princes and AS are reporting that PSG are preparing an extraordinary offer in a bid to persuade Mbappe to remain in the French capital.
The deal is believed to include a staggering signing bonus of €100m for the 23-year-old, in addition to a wage of around €50m-per-season. PSG’s offer will be a three-year contract, with a release clause included after the second of those seasons.
PSG have also promised Mbappe he will be able to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics, having expressed a desire to feature for the national side at the home tournament.
Mbappe has suggested at a willingness to remain with PSG, telling the media at the weekend of his ambition to become the club’s all-time record goalscorer. The forward has scored 156 goals in 205 appearances since signing for PSG from Monaco, with only Edinson Cavani (200) ahead of him in the all-time charts.
“I have only Cavani left to be the top scorer in the history of PSG. We’ll see what happens,” Mbappe said.
“Being PSG’s top scorer is something that cannot be ignored. We’ll see what happens.”
