Marcus Rashford is claimed to be ‘considering his future’ at Manchester United amid a lack of football at Old Trafford this season.
Rashford has endured a disappointing campaign for the Red Devils and has made just nine league starts in the Premier League, with the 24-year-old named as a substitute for the 4-1 defeat at Manchester City on Sunday despite the absences of Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani.
The England international has fallen behind Anthony Elanga in the pecking order in recent weeks and Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Rashford is now considering his future at the club.
Rashford has started just two of the Red Devils’ past 11 league fixtures with the forward having struggled to convince interim manager Ralf Rangnick, a situation which has raised the prospect of the academy graduate departing in search of a new challenge this summer.

Rashford will have just a year remaining on his contract at the end of the season and is giving consideration to asking for a transfer away from his boyhood side, should his situation not improve across the remaining months of the campaign.
Much could hinge on who is appointed as United’s next permanent manager with the recruitment process underway, both Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag having been linked with the role.
Former Red Devils’ defender Gary Neville discussed Rashford’s current situation following the club’s Manchester Derby defeat on Sunday, admitting his absence from the side despite a lack of attacking options was a clear indication of his place in Rangnick’s thoughts.
“That’s got to be the ultimate put down for Marcus Rashford today,” Neville said on Sky Sports.
“With four other centre forwards he started the season with not here and he still can’t get into the side. It tells you where Rashford is at, where Rangnick thinks he is at.”
