FA Cup semi-final dates confirmed

The dates for the FA Cup semi-finals have been confirmed ahead of the last four fixtures on the weekend of April 16 and 17.

Manchester City will take on Liverpool in the first semi-final meeting on April 16, with the fixture scheduled to kick-off at 3.30pm BST at Wembley.

Last season’s runners-up Chelsea face Crystal Palace in the other semi-final fixture with the two London rivals due to go head-to-head on April 17, with kick-off set for 4:30pm BST.

The FA have also announced travel advice for Manchester City and Liverpool supporters, with essential engineering works being conducted over the Bank Holiday weekend by Network Rail in what will limit travel by rail from the North West.

In a statement the FA have said that ‘the FA, Network Rail and Chiltern Railways strongly advise that Liverpool and Manchester City supporters affected should avoid travelling from the North West by train wherever possible and seek alternative travel arrangements including ‘a limited number of free return bus services’ and ‘limited pre-booked car parking’.

The Women’s FA Cup semi-finals will take place over the same weekend but are not held at neutral venues.

West Ham United face Manchester City at 12.15pm BST on April 16, whilst last season’s finalists meet in the other fixture as Arsenal host Chelsea at 12.30pm BST on April 17.
