Barcelona have improved their offer to sign Raphinha from Leeds as the Spanish side pursue a deal for the winger.
Raphinha has emerged as a transfer target for Barcelona ahead of the summer transfer window, with the Catalans understood to have seen an opening offer of around €35m rejected by the Premier League side.
Sport are reporting that Barcelona are prepared to increase that bid to €50m including add-ons, offering Leeds an initial €40m with a further €10m in incentives.
He is understood to have a release clause of €25m in his contract should Leeds – 16th in the Premier League at present – be relegated this season.
Raphinha has starred since signing for Leeds from Rennes in 2020 and has scored nine goals in the Premier League this season, whilst the 25-year-old has scored three goals in seven appearances for Brazil at international level.
Barcelona are targeting the winger as Xavi continues his rebuild at the Camp Nou, but the La Liga side will not enter a bidding war with Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Arsenal among the sides also linked.
However, Raphinha’s reported preference for a move to Barcelona leaves the Spaniards in pole position.
