Paris Saint-Germain have ‘made an offer’ to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United, but the midfielder ‘prefers’ a return to Juventus this summer.
Pogba is out of contract this summer and expected to leave the Red Devils on a free transfer, with a number of leading European clubs considering a move to sign the France international.
The Manchester Evening News are reporting that PSG have made a contract offer to the 29-year-old, though it is believed to be of a lesser value than the one still on the table at Old Trafford.
PSG secured several high-profile free agents in last summer’s transfer window, with Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum and Gianluigi Donnarumma all arriving at the Parc des Princes.
The Ligue 1 side are keen to strengthen once again following another disappointing Champions League exit this season and have made an approach to bring Pogba back to his native Paris.
Pogba appears unlikely to sign a new deal with United and spoke on his frustrations at his role at the club whilst on international duty last week, with the midfielder understood to be keen on a potential return to Juventus.
Pogba spent four seasons at Juventus after signing for the Italian side on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2012, winning four consecutive league titles in Turin before a world-record £89m return to the Premier League.
The Serie A side are interested in bringing Pogba back to the club, though interest from Real Madrid is believed to have waned since the departure of Zinedine Zidane as manager last summer.
