Barcelona are willing to offer Sergino Dest in part-exchange as the club attempt to sign Robert Lewandowski this summer.
Barcelona are interested in signing the Bayern Munich forward as the Spanish side seek a marquee attacking arrival, with attentions having turned towards Lewandowski amid complications for deals for Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah.
Lewandowski will have just a year remaining on his contract at the Bundesliga champions this summer and could be allowed to leave should he turn down a new deal, with Bayern reluctant to lose the Poland international on a free transfer in 2023.
Sport are reporting that Barcelona are preparing an offer to sign the 33-year-old and are willing to include Dest as part of the deal. Bayern are admirers of the US international and were reportedly interested in signing Dest last summer, with the club still keen on additions at right-back.
Barcelona are hopeful the inclusion of the 21-year-old can lower the package for a deal for Lewandowski, who has enjoyed another extraordinary campaign to lead both the Bundesliga and Champions League for goals.
Lewandowski has scored 45 goals in just 39 appearances for the Bavarians this season – reaching 40+ goals for a seventh successive season – and Barcelona believe his arrival can help relaunch their project at the Camp Nou.
Both Barcelona and Bayern have been linked with Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui.
