Antonio Conte is believed to be interested in the Paris Saint-Germain job ahead of the club’s expected sacking of Mauricio Pochettino.
Conte is said to hold an interest in leaving Tottenham and succeeding Pochettino at the Parc des Princes, with the Ligue 1 champions set to part ways with the Argentine at the end of the season.
PSG’s coronation as French champions will not be enough to prevent Pochettino’s departure following the club’s disappointing Champions League campaign and the 50-year-old and his staff will be entitled to around £12.5m in compensation.
Pochettino had been linked with Manchester United, but saw the Red Devils instead appoint Erik ten Hag as their next permanent manager.
The Times are reporting that Conte has emerged as a potential successor and the Italian would consider leaving Spurs to move to Paris.
Conte will have 12 months remaining on his contract this summer and despite their recent improvement, has voiced his frustration with the challenge in North London, as Spurs face a fight to secure Champions League football this season.
Zinedine Zidane is understood to be PSG’s primary target to replace Pochettino, however, with the Frenchman without a club since leaving Real Madrid for a second time in 2021.
The 49-year-old enjoyed huge success across his two spells with the Spanish giants, winning two La Liga titles and three consecutive Champions League trophies between 2016 and 2018.
