RB Leipzig president Oliver Mintzlaff has admitted that ‘nobody is unsellable’ amid expected interest in forward Christopher Nkunku.
Nkunku is attracting interest from across Europe after a stunning season for the Bundesliga side, with the 24-year-old having scored 31 goals across all competitions.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal have all been linked with the Frenchman, who according to L’Équipe is keen to leave Leipzig in search of a new challenge.
Leipzig are determined to keep hold of Nkunku, who has two years remaining on his contract, for a further season at least, but president Mintzlaff recently conceded that no player is ‘unsellable’ should the right offer arrive.
Speaking to Sky Sports, as per football.london, Mintzlaff outlined his belief that Nkunku would remain at Leipzig next season.
“I’ve said it many times, and I’m happy to say it again: Nkunku will still be our player in the coming season.”
However, he then admitted that no player was off limits should significant bids arrive this summer with a number of Premier League teams – alongside Bayern Munich and former team PSG – reportedly considering an approach.
“In football, nobody is unsellable,” he continued.
“He was already one of our best players in the first half of the season, even though it didn’t go well for us, as we all know. He has ignited the next stage of his development here under Domenico Tedesco, and he will continue to do so in the coming season.”
