Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva has remained coy on his future at the club following recent speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona.
Last summer, Pep Guardiola confirmed that the Portuguese was keen to leave the club following a reduced role in the side during the 2020/21 campaign when he made just 26 league appearances.
Bernardo would remain at the Etihad and played a much more pivotal role, featuring in all but three of City’s Premier League games this campaign, and finishing the season with 13 goals and seven assists in all competitions
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent days, where he would likely be a replacement for Manchester United-linked midfielder, Frenkie de Jong.
Pep Guardiola recently said that the cash-strapped Catalan club ‘would have a difficult time’ in trying to prise the midfielder away from the Premier League champions.
However, asked about his future while on international duty with Portugal, the midfielder refused to offer any assurances to the Man City faithful.
“Unfortunately I won’t be able to answer because I’m at the service of the national team and super focused on the game that remains,” said Bernardo when asked about his future.
“When the season ends, we’ll see what happens.”
