The fixtures for the 2022/23 Premier League season have been released with Crystal Palace hosting Arsenal in the campaign’s first fixture on August 5.
The Gunner will travel to Selhurst Park to take on their London rivals on the Friday evening, before the weekend’s action begins with newly-promoted Fulham at home to Liverpool in the lunchtime kick-off.
Manchester City will begin their title defence at West Ham on Sunday August 7, whilst Nottingham Forest’s first top-flight fixture for more than two decades will see Steve Cooper’s side take on Newcastle at St James’ Park.
Erik ten Hag’s reign at Manchester United will begin at Brighton, whilst Everton manager Frank Lampard faces former side Chelsea on the opening weekend.
City and Liverpool are once again expected to challenge after a tight title race last season and crucial meetings between the sides will take place at Anfield on October 15 and at the Etihad on April 1.
The Manchester and North London derbies have been scheduled for the same weekends in what promises to be an enthralling round of games, with the clashes set to take place on the weekends of October 1 and January 14.
