Ronaldo ‘frustrated’ and considering his future over Man United’s transfer policy

Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘frustrated’ with Manchester United’s lack of transfers this summer and is considering his future at the club.

Ronaldo returned to the Red Devils last summer in a hugely anticipated move from Juventus and impressed during his first season back in the Premier League, scoring 24 goals in all competitions.

United, however, endured a disappointing campaign to finish sixth in the Premier League and miss out on Champions League football, registering their lowest points total of the Premier League era.

Erik ten Hag has since arrived as manager to raise optimism ahead of the new campaign, though the club have so far failed to secure new signings despite links to a host of players.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Ronaldo is considering his future over the club’s lack of activity in the transfer market, having seen the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool strengthen with the statement signings of Erling Haaland an Darwin Nunez respectively.

United continue to pursue a deal for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, whilst the club have also held talks with Ajax over a move for winger Antony.

Ten Hag is understood to want at least five new signings this summer with both a centre-back and right-back on his list of transfer targets.
