Memphis Depay is being linked with a return to the Premier League as Barcelona look to cash in on the forward.
Barcelona are willing to listen to offers in excess of €20m for the Netherlands international, as the Spanish side look to raise transfer funds for their summer recruitment.
The 28-year-old signed for Barcelona on a free transfer from Lyon last summer and enjoyed a solid first season in Spanish football, scoring 12 league goals to finish as the club’s leading scorer in La Liga.
Sport are reporting that whilst Barcelona remain content to keep Depay at the Camp Nou, the club’s plans for new attacking additions could push the former Manchester United forward down the pecking order.
Depay struggled following a £25m move to the Red Devils in 2015, scoring just twice in 33 league appearances, but has since developed into a reliable goalscorer and has been linked with clubs in both England and Italy.
He will want to assure regular first-team minutes ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this winter, where he will be a key figure for the Netherlands.
Depay has scored 42 goals in 80 appearances for the Dutch national side, with only Robin van Persie (50) having ever netted more for the Oranje.
