Manchester United have been linked with a move to sign Paulo Dybala, amid Cristiano Ronaldo’s apparent desire to leave the club.
Dybala is a free agent after leaving Juventus this summer with the forward among the most high-profile free agents of the transfer window.
United have been linked with the Argentina international is past windows and La Repubblica, as per the Mail, are reporting that the Red Devils are now considering Dybala as a potential Ronaldo replacement.
The 28-year-old scored 115 goals in 293 appearances across seven seasons at Juventus, winning five league titles, and was named as Serie A’s Most Valuable Player during the club’s 2019/20 title-winning campaign.
United are one of several leading clubs considering a move to sign Dybala, who has been linked with Atletico Madrid, Tottenham, Roma and AC Milan since announcing his Juventus exit.
However, Inter Milan are believed to be leading the race for his signature, despite securing the loan return of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.
United’s reported interest comes amid Ronaldo’s desire to leave, having grown frustrated with the club’s lack of transfer activity this summer and last season’s failure to secure Champions League football.
