Georginio Wijnaldum looks set to bring an end to his time at Paris Saint-Germain with the two parties having decided to ‘part ways’ this summer.
The Netherlands international only opted to join the French giants last summer having allowed his contract to expire following five seasons at Liverpool.
However, the move to the French capital hasn’t gone at all to plan, starting just 18 games in Ligue 1, netting once and providing three assists.
At Liverpool, Wijnaldum had established himself as a vital cog in Jurgen Klopp’s industrious midfield, and his limited game time at the Park des Princes has seen him excluded from recent international sides.
PSG have already added fellow midfielder Vitinha to their side this summer, a move that could further limit Wijnaldum’s opportunities this upcoming season.
With the World Cup on the horizon, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the two parties have opted to ‘part ways’ this summer, with ‘work in progress to find a club as soon as possible’

One of the sides said to be ‘really interested’ are Jose Mourinho’s Roma, as the Serie A side look to build a side capable of challenging for the title.
The Roman club have already added the free signings of Paulo Dybala from Juventus and Nemanja Matic from Manchester United, though are yet to make an official bid for Wijnaldum, with PSG willing to let him leave on loan.
Mourinho steered the Giallorossi to European success in his first season at the Stadio Olimpico, winning the inaugural edition of the Europa Conference League earlier this year.
