Manchester United are preparing to increase their offer for Ajax winger Antony to €94m including add-ons, as the club look to secure a deal in the final week of the window.
Erik ten Hag wants to reunite with the 22-year-old in the Premier League, with Antony having excelled under the Dutchman’s management across two seasons at Ajax.
Antony scored 12 goals and laid on a further 10 assists for Ajax in 2021/22, as the club were crowned Eredivisie champions for a third consecutive campaign.
Sky Sports are reporting that United are prepared to submit a huge offer in a bid to get a deal done, with their latest proposal set to be worth around €94m (£79m) including add ons.
That fee would make Antony the Eredivisie’s most expensive sale of all time, eclipsing the £67.8m figure that took Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax to Juventus in 2019.

United have been linked with a number of forwards in the closing stages of the window, including PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo and Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic. However, the Red Devils appear to be concentrated on Antony who is Ten Hag’s top target for an attacking role.
The Red Devils are also continuing their search for a goalkeeper to provide competition and cover for David de Gea and have held initial talks with Newcastle over signing Martin Dúbravka.
