Chelsea are said to be considering a late move to sign Wilfried Zaha as the club look to add a forward to their squad before the transfer deadline.
Zaha has entered the final 12 months of his deal at Crystal Palace and his future remains uncertain, with the Eagles keen to tie the 29-year-old down to a new contract.
However, interest from Chelsea could prove tempting for the Ivorian who has previously expressed his desire to compete in the Champions League.
The Mail are reporting that Chelsea’s focus is on a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the Blues have so far been unable to agree a fee and face competition from Manchester United for the Barcelona forward.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are also working on a deal to sign Anthony Gordon from Everton, but Zaha is on the club’s radar ahead of the final days of the window.
The Ivory Coast international has began the new season in impressive form with three goals in three Premier League fixtures, following on from a career-best campaign of 14 league goals in 2021/22.
