Mikel Arteta has revealed the ‘energy’ is good within his Arsenal squad ahead of this weekend’s trip to face Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Arsenal lead the Premier League after opening the campaign with five straight wins, the club’s best start to a league season since 2004/05.
The Gunners’ summer signings have integrated well into Arteta’s plans with Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko impressive, while returning loanee William Saliba has cemented a role at centre-back.
Arteta has discussed his side’s start to the season and believes there is a positive atmosphere surrounding his squad. He is expecting a tough test against a team who will compete for the European places this season but is confident that Arsenal can maintain their winning run.
“It is a test every single week in Premier League. We will see it in any game played this weekend and don’t expect anything different,” Arteta told his pre-match press conference.
“We’ve won away before, we have to do it again and believe we are capable of going there, playing our way and winning the match. I don’t think it’s an issue.”
”The feeling and energy around the club [is good], the way the team is playing and performing, the icing on cake is winning football matches. We have to continue to do that, keep doing simple things right and keep playing well.”
