Liverpool set to join race for in-demand Mykhaylo Mudryk

Liverpool are set to join the race to sign in-demand Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Mudryk has attracted interest from across Europe following a string of impressive performances for the Ukrainian side and has shone during this season’s Champions League group stage.

The 21-year-old has scored twice and laid on two further assists in two Champions League appearances for Shakhtar this season, with his performances understood to have attracted interest from Anfield.

Calciomercato have claimed that Liverpool are ready to join the race for Mudryk, who has been dubbed the ‘Ukrainian Neymar’. Arsenal, Everton and Brentford were all interested in a summer deal for the winger, while Newcastle are also said to hold an interest.

Premier League clubs will face strong competition from across the continent however, with Ajax, Bayer Leverkusen and Sevilla also reportedly tracking the Shakhtar starlet.

Mudryk – who has featured predominantly from the left wing for Shakhtar – made his international debut for Ukraine in May and has since won five caps for the national side.
