Manchester United have been linked with a move to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.
Mudryk has attracted a long list of suitors following an exciting emergence at the Ukrainian side, with his performances in this season’s Champions League group stages having increased interest around the 21-year-old.
The Ukraine international scored one and created two other goals as Shakhtar thrashed RB Leipzig on matchday one, before getting on the scoresheet once again in the 1-1 draw with Celtic.
Manchester United are the latest team credited with an interest according to inews, while Newcastle have a ‘serious interest’ in Mudryk and are considering meeting Shakhtar’s asking price which is close to £50m.
Arsenal, Everton and Brentford were all interested during the summer, while Real Madrid have tracked his progress since a stand-out performance from Mudryk at the Bernabeu last season. Liverpool have also been linked with a potential move for one of Europe’s most in-demand young players.
Shakhtar’s director of football, Darijo Srna, insists his team have a ‘serious talent’ in Mudryk and believes the youngster is already one of Europe’s finest footballers in his position.
“Mudryk is a serious talent,” Srna told CBS Sports earlier this month. “After Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr, he’s the best player in Europe in his position. If someone wants to buy Mudryk they must spend a lot, a lot, a lot of money and respect our club and our president.”
