Mykhaylo Mudryk has discussed the prospect of a move to Arsenal as Shakhtar Donetsk name their asking price for the in-demand winger.
Mudryk has caught the attention of Europe’s leading clubs after a brilliant start to the season at Shakhtar, with the 21-year-old producing a number of electric performances during the Champions League’s group stage.
He has provided eight goals and eight assists in 16 appearances across all competitions, including three goals in the Champions League.
The Ukraine international was subject of interest from Arsenal and Everton during the summer, though a number of leading clubs – including the likes of PSG and Manchester City – are now believed to be tracking his progress.
Fabrizio Romano has said that Mudryk has ‘always been happy’ about the Guuners interest, though has revealed that Shakhtar have set their asking price for Mudryk and value the starlet in excess of €65m.
Mudryk discussed his future this week and the prospect of a move to the Premier League, revealing how Arsenal’s fans have begun to follow him in anticipation of a switch to the Emirates.
“From a purely theoretical-fantasy perspective, if there was the option of being a bench player for Real Madrid or a starter for Arsenal, I’d probably choose Arsenal. But I’d first want to know from the head coach that I’d receive a chance.
“I follow Arsenal closely, they’re a very dynamic side. One surprise for me was how many Arsenal fans followed me. No other club’s fans have interacted as much as them.”
