Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to be offered an escape route from Chelsea with several Spanish clubs monitoring his situation at Stamford Bridge.
Aubameyang has started just four Premier League games since his summer arrival from Barcelona and has struggled for opportunities since Graham Potter’s appointment as head coach in September.
He has not started a fixture in any competition since November and his future appears uncertain as Chelsea close in on the loan signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid.
Aubameyang was substituted despite earlier coming off the bench during last week’s Premier League defeat to Manchester City, before missing the club’s FA Cup exit at City with a back problem on Sunday.
His lack of opportunities comes despite being the only senior centre-forward available in Potter’s squad and a January exit is an option.
The Daily Mail are reporting that several La Liga clubs are considering an approach for the 33-year-old, who impressed in Spanish football last season.
Aubameyang scored 11 goals in just 13 league starts for Barcelona, but was deemed surplus to requirements last summer after the arrival of Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.
