Tom Heaton has revealed how Erik ten Hag’s discipline has contributed to Manchester United’s improvement this season.
Man United have shown positive signs during Ten Hag’s debut season as manager with the Red Devils in fine form at present.
The club progressed to the EFL Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 win over Charlton on Tuesday evening, extending their winning run to nine consecutive games in all competitions.
United are fourth in the Premier League table as the club pursue a return to the Champions League, ahead of crucial fixtures with title challengers Manchester City and Arsenal.
Heaton has opened up on Ten Hag’s impact since arriving at Old Trafford last summer and believes the Dutchman’s discipline has been a key factor in the club’s progress this season.
“He has brought a clear messaging, clear lines of what’s acceptable and what’s not,” Heaton told BBC Radio Five Live.
“There is responsibility on everyone.
“My personal view is that it really does make a difference.
“When there is a consequence to players, a discipline, you know not to cross the line, if you do you’ll be out.”
