The representatives of Raheem Sterling have denied reports that the forward is ‘unhappy’ at Chelsea following reports of interest from Arsenal.
Sterling only moved to Chelsea last summer, but despite his wealth of title-winning experience at Manchester City, has failed to nail down a regular place at Stamford Bridge, starting just 15 league games to date this season.
There have been claims that the England international is unhappy at the west London club and could be ‘looking to leave’, with the forward said to feature on the ‘radar’ of Arsenal.
Sterling previously worked with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta during the Spaniard’s time as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City, and with the Gunners flying high in the league and said to be interested in signing a winger in the summer, it’s easy to see where the links have come from.
However, Sterling’s representatives have stressed that the 28-year-old has shown ‘no discontent’ at Stamford Bridge, and that there will be ‘no review of his position in the upcoming transfer window’.
Kelly Hogarth wrote on Twitter: “Sterling has expressed NO discontent with CFC & having committed his long-term future to the new ownership this summer, there is to be no review of his position in the upcoming transfer window,”
“He very much looks forward to building upon the success of previous seasons.”
