Victor Osimhen has said that it is a ‘dream’ for him to one day play in the Premier League.
The striker could be one of the most sought-after names in this summer’s transfer window following his sensational season so far, netting 21 goals in all competitions for runaway Italian leaders, Napoli.
Osimhen has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks, with all three reportedly interested in bolstering their attack this summer.
Speaking while receiving an award from the foreign press, the Nigerian admitted that it is his ‘dream’ to play in the Premier League, but insisted he is happy playing in Serie A.
“I think playing in one of the top five leagues in the world is an amazing feeling for me,” Osimhen said, as per The Athletic.
“A lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League as the best and the strongest league but now I’m in one of the best leagues in the world which is the Italian Serie A.
“I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day but like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”
Any move for Osimhen wouldn’t come cheap, however, with some reports claiming that Napoli would demand a fee of around £115 million.
