Manchester City and Chelsea have been handed tough tests following the draw for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
City booked their place in the quarter-finals after a 7-0 second leg win against RB Leipzig this week, with Erling Haaland scoring five goals in a statement performance at the Etihad. The Premier League champions will meet Bayern Munich in the last eight, as Pep Guardiola returns to his former side.
Chelsea’s reward for beating Borussia Dortmund is a quarter-final tie with holders Real Madrid. The Spanish champions beat Liverpool in the previous round and eliminated Chelsea at the same stage last season.
Elsewhere Inter Milan will face Benfica and there’s an all-Serie A affair as AC Milan meet runaway league leaders Napoli.
The two Milan teams will meet in the semi-finals should both progress from their respective ties. It’s the first time since the 2005/06 season that Serie A have had three teams in the Champions League quarter-finals.
