Chelsea and PSG monitoring former Man United midfielder

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring the performances of Andreas Pereira following the midfielder’s impressive debut season at Fulham.

Pereira has shone during Fulham’s strong return to the Premier League this season after signing for the west Londoners in a £10m deal from Manchester United.

The 26-year-old spent more than a decade with the Red Devils, but struggled to establish himself in the senior side and spent time on loan at various clubs before his permanent departure last summer.

Pereira has provided six assists for the Cottagers this season and his form has attracted interest from leading clubs, with ESPN reporting that Chelsea are considering the Brazilian as a potential replacement for Mason Mount.

Contract talks with Mount have stalled as the midfielder approaches the final year of his deal at Chelsea and Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are all keeping a close eye on his situation.

Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be considering Pereira, as the club look for cost-efficient additions to meet Financial Fair Play rules, while Atletico Madrid have also placed Pereira on their radar.

The midfielder is understood to be happy at Fulham, but would find a move to one of Europe’s top clubs difficult to turn down. Fulham are believed to value Pereira at around £25m-£35m.
