Arsenal are keen on a deal to sign Ilias Akhomach as the Barcelona teenager approaches the end of his contract at the Camp Nou.
Akhomach is set to leave the Spanish side this summer and his availability has alerted several clubs across the continent, with Leeds, Sevilla and AC Milan all interested in a potential deal.
Sport are reporting that Arsenal have ‘closely’ been following the winger and are considering an approach.
Leeds have been described as front runners to sign the 18-year-old with reports that the Premier League club had agreed a four-year deal with Akhomach, but interest from Arsenal could complicate the club’s pursuit of the Spanish starlet.
The winger is described as being an ‘ideal’ fit for the Premier League, having failed to make a senior breakthrough at the Camp Nou.
Akhomach made three appearances for Barcelona last season, but has not featured in the first team during the current campaign.
He has represented Spain at various age groups and has won nine caps for the U-19 side.
