Chelsea and Manchester United are chasing a deal to sign Manu Kone from Borussia Monchengladbach this summer.
Kone is of interest to several leading clubs across Europe after an impressive season in the Bundesliga, with the 21-year-old ranked fifth in the division for tackles during the current campaign.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are ‘really interested’ in the midfielder, with Kone valued at around €50m at the Bundesliga side.
The France u21 international began his career with Toulouse before a move to Monchengladbach in 2021, where he has since made 54 appearances in all competitions across the past two seasons.
Manchester United are considering midfield additions this summer with Scott McTominay linked with an exit, while there is no purchase option in Marcel Sabitzer’s loan from Bayern Munich. Chelsea are also interested, given the uncertainty surrounding several stars at Stamford Bridge.
N’Golo Kante is out of contract at the end of the season, while both Mateo Kovaic and Mason Mount have been linked with exits as the midfield duo enter the final 12 months of their Chelsea contracts.
