Alexis Mac Allister ‘expected to leave’ Brighton this summer

Alexis Mac Allister is ‘expected to leave’ Brighton this summer with a trio of Premier League clubs having approached the midfielder’s representatives to discuss a move.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are all understood to have contacted Mac Allister’s camp over a summer transfer, as each look to improve their midfield options with the signing of the World Cup winner.

Liverpool are considering several options as Jurgen Klopp plans a rebuild of his midfield, with the Reds having reportedly cooled their interest in Jude Bellingham due to the financial package required to sign the England international.

Mac Allister has seen his profile rise since forming part of Argentina’s victorious campaign in Qatar, in which he started six of the eventual world champion’s seven fixtures.

The 24-year-old has also had an excellent campaign for a Brighton side competing for a place in Europe, having scored eight Premier League goals in 25 appearances for the Seagulls this season.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Mac Allister ‘is expected to leave early in the summer’, with Brighton anticipating approaches from Premier League rivals.

It remains unclear what valuation Brighton will place on the midfielder, who is contracted to the club until 2025 after signing a new deal at the Amex Stadium in October.
