Tottenham have joined Manchester United and Arsenal in the race to sign Ansu Fati from Barcelona.
Fati has been linked with an exit after struggling for a regular role at Barcelona this season with the winger having made just 11 starts in La Liga during the current campaign.
According to reports in Spain, Barcelona have granted permission to the player’s agent to explore potential avenues, with a host of Premier League clubs monitoring his situation.
Spurs are the latest to have entered the race for Fati, with the Daily Mail revealing that the north Londoners want to improve their attacking options and could lodge a bid. Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich have also tracked the 20-year-old, who could ‘attract’ bids up to £90m.
Barcelona could look to offload the winger as the cash-strapped Catalans look to raise funds for their summer business. The club reportedly need to raise £158m in order to make new signings and Fati’s sale could go a significant way to reaching that total.
Fati became the second-youngest player to debut for Barcelona in 2019 and is the youngest player to have scored a Champions League goal, having scored his first goal in the competition against Inter Milan, aged 17 years and 40 days.
He has since made 99 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish side, in which he has scored 26 goals and laid on a further nine assists.
