Illan Meslier is keen to leave Leeds this summer, regardless of whether the club retain their Premier League status.
Meslier has been tracked by several Premier League clubs ahead of anticipated interest this summer, with Chelsea considering an approach for the French goalkeeper.
The 23-year-old became the youngest goalkeeper in Premier League history to reach 100 appearances in the division last month and his performances have seen the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Spurs keep tabs on his situation.
Football Insider are reporting that Meslier will ask to leave Leeds this summer regardless of how their season ends, with Javi Gracia’s team just two points above the Premier League’s relegation places.
Leeds are understood to value Meslier at around £40m and Chelsea could firm up their interest with an official approach. The west Londoners are considering their options in goal and have extensively scouted Meslier, with Kepa Arrizabalaga having struggled to convince as first-choice and Edouard Mendy expected to move on at the end of the season.
Meslier, who has made 122 appearances for Leeds in all competitions, is contracted at Elland Road until 2026.
