Premier League trio eyeing move for Ward-Prowse

Tottenham, Newcastle and West Ham are all reportedly interested in signing James Ward-Prowse.

Despite Southampton’s struggles this season, the midfielder has once again impressed, scoring seven goals – including three free-kicks as he edges closer to David Beckham’s Premier League record – and providing two assists in his 31 league outings.

Southampton are currently rock bottom of the Premier League and are now four points from safety, with the Saints having picked up just two points from their last six fixtures.

According to talkSPORT, club captain Ward-Prowse has been told that he can leave should they fail to beat the drop, with a trio of Premier League sides said to be interested in the dead-ball master.

Spurs, Newcastle and West Ham are those named with having an interest, though it would be a surprise if more clubs didn’t show interest. The 28-year-old is reportedly ‘unlikely to fancy himself as a Championship player’ as he looks to regain his place in the England squad ahead of Euro 2024.
