Brighton have agreed a new long-term contract with Evan Ferguson as the Seagulls look to secure the future of the forward.
Ferguson has attracted interest from several Premier League rivals after a breakthrough campaign at Brighton this term, with Manchester United among the clubs to have monitored the teenager’s progress this season.
Tottenham are also said to be admirers, while Liverpool expressed an interest in signing Ferguson before his move from Bohemians to Brighton in 2021.
The 18-year-old has scored eight goals in all competitions for Roberto De Zerbi’s side, who are eighth in the Premier League table and pushing towards a place in Europe.
The Telegraph are reporting that Ferguson has agreed terms on an extension to his current contract, which still had three years left to run.
Ferguson – who won four caps for Ireland and scored his first international goal during March’s fixtures – is understood to be keen to continue his development at Brighton.
The forward will hope to build on an impressive emergence this season and secure a regular role at centre-forward in De Zerbi’s side.
