Liverpool have presented the club’s ‘project’ to Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister with discussions ongoing.
Mac Allister is a top target for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp looks to rebuild his midfield this summer and the Reds are pushing to agree a deal.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed an excellent season for club and country, having scored eight Premier League goals for a Brighton team competing for a place in Europe.
Mac Allister saw his profile rise after forming part of Argentina’s victorious World Cup squad in Qatar and started all but one of La Albiceleste’s fixtures at the tournament.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Liverpool have now presented Mac Allister with their ‘project and financial proposal’ as the Reds look to win the race to sign the midfielder.

Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with Mac Allister, who is expected to leave Brighton early in the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Brighton are closing in on the signing of James Milner from Liverpool. The veteran is out of contract at the end of the season and is expected to sign for the Seagulls as a free agent.
Jurgen Klopp had been keen for the 37-year-old to sign an extension at Anfield, but the prospect of more regular opportunities and a chance to work with Roberto De Zerbi has persuaded Milner to take on a new challenge.
