Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood could be offered a ‘fresh start’ by Italian giants Juventus.
The striker has not featured for Manchester United since January 2022 after he was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, though all charges were dropped in February 2023.
Manchester United are now conducting an internal investigation into the incident before deciding what to do with the 21-year-old’s future, who had emerged as one of the most exciting talents from the club’s academy.
Despite his talent, there are reported to be a number concerns from within the club about bringing him back, while there could be a potential backlash from fans and corporate partners.
According to the Sun, Greenwood could be offered an Italian escape route, with Juventus ‘very interested’ in signing the forward on a ‘long-term loan’.
The report says that the Italian giants have ‘sounded out’ Greenwood’s camp, and are hoping that the presence of former Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba will help their case to sign him.
Juventus aren’t the only side to be interested in the one-cap England international, with the report saying that there is also interest from AC Milan, Roma, as well as clubs in Turkey.
Prior to his suspension, Greenwood scored 35 goals and provided 12 assists in 129 appearances for the Red Devils, being handed the number 11 shirt by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
