Man United set to send Amad Diallo out of loan again next season despite brilliant form in Championship

Manchester United are set to send Amad Diallo out on loan again next season despite the winger’s impressive campaign at Sunderland.

Diallo has shone on loan at Sunderland in the Championship this season after a difficult spell at Rangers last term, with the 20-year-old having scored 12 league goals for Tony Mowbary’s side.

Diallo’s contribution has seen Sunderland push for promotion to the Premier League this season and the winger was named as the Black Cats’ Young Player of the Year for the 2022/23 campaign.

Despite his eye-catching performances in the second tier, the Daily Mail are reporting that United will look to send Diallo out on loan again next season with Erik ten Hag unsure on whether the youngster can command an immediate place in his squad.

United are, however, not interested in a permanent sale with the club keen to monitor the winger’s progress.

A move to the Eredivisie has been suggested, with Dutch football deemed suitable as a less physical league for Diallo to develop.

The Ivory Coast international signed for the Red Devils from Atalanta in a £37m deal in January 2021, but has made just nine senior appearances at Old Trafford.
