Erik ten Hag has revealed that Marcus Rashford is unlikely to feature as Manchester United face Wolves in the Premier League this weekend.
United take on Wolves at Old Trafford tomorrow as the Red Devils look to bounce back from successive league losses and consolidate their position in the Premier League’s top four.
Ten Hag’s side have scored just eight goals in their last 10 Premier League games and have been dealt a blow with the news that leading scorer Rashford is a big doubt to feature.
Ahead of the clash, Ten Hag said Rashford was ‘more than doubtful’ to face Wolves, but confirmed that centre-back Raphael Varane is fit to feature.
“He has a problem, an injury on his leg, so he is a big question mark for tomorrow. But we are happy Rapha Varane is back,” Ten Hag said at his pre-match press conference.
“[Rashford] is doubtful, more than doubtful. So [there is] a big question mark.”
Alejandro Garnacho could be in line to feature in the Premier League for the first time since March, after the teenager returned to the matchday squad during the defeat at West Ham.
“He has one more week training, definitely,” Ten Hag added. “Yeah, so he is available and we have seen he can bring something extra in the team.”
