Liverpool are understood to be ‘big admirers’ of Feyenoord captain Orkun Kokcu as the club target midfield additions this summer.
Liverpool are expected to reinforce their midfield during the summer transfer window and are working on various deals to improve Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
Alexis Mac Alllister has been strongly linked with a switch to Liverpool and is expected to be the Reds’ first signing of the summer, with the club having made a proposal to the Brighton midfielder.
Football Transfers are reporting that Liverpool are also admirers of Kokcu, who has impressed in captaining Feyenoord to a first Eredivisie title since 2017 this season.
The 22-year-old has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season, while he leads the Dutch league for progressive passes and ranks third for key passes during the current campaign.
Manchester United have also watched Kokcu, though Liverpool could move for the Dutch-born Turkey international after the success of Cody Gakpo’s move to the club from the Eredivisie in January.
Liverpool are also said to have monitored AZ Alkmaar’s Tijani Reijnders, but the 24-year-old is further down the club’s list of transfer targets.
