Everton are willing to sell Amadou Onana this summer to fund the club’s summer transfer business, regardless of whether the Toffees retain their Premier League status.
Everton remain in danger of a first relegation since 1951, but will confirm Premier League football for another season with a win over Bournemouth in their final fixture this weekend.
The Toffees are planning to rebuild this summer and Football Insider are reporting that the club are open to the sale of Onana in a bid to bring in much needed funds.
The Belgium international has shone in a struggling side since his £33m arrival from Lille last summer and has been tracked by clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United this season.
Everton – who must first raise funds before additions can be made in the upcoming transfer window due to Financial Fair Play restrictions – value Onana at around £60m and the 21-year-old’s sale could allow Sean Dyche to strengthen his squad in other areas.
Onana has made 34 appearances for Everton this season and has impressed with his powerful presence and box-to-box drive in a number of midfield roles. The midfielder – who turned down a move to West Ham last summer in favour of Everton – has won six caps for Belgium.
