Real Madrid’s move for Jude Bellingham is at the ‘final stages’ as the Spanish side close in on the signing of the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.
Bellingham is edging closer to a summer move to Real Madrid, who are on the verge of beating Premier League competition to the signing of the teenager.
The Spaniards are keen to respect Bellingham and Dortmund’s pursuit of the Bundesliga title and the German side will be crowned champions for the first time since 2012 with a win against Mainz on Saturday.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Bellingham’s transfer to the Bernabeu is at the ‘final stages’ as the two teams sort out the finer details.
Real Madrid are set to pay a fixed fee of €100m plus add-ons for the 19-year-old, with the structure of the add-ons and bonuses the final terms to be agreed before the transfer is finalised.
Final discussions are expected next week, ahead of confirmation of the deal. Bellingham is set to become the sixth Englishman to represent Real Madrid after emerging as one of world football’s most coveted talents across three seasons at Dortmund.
Bellingham has scored 14 goals and provided five assists in 42 appearances for Dortmund this season.
