Liverpool have received ‘many’ offers from Premier League clubs to take Fabio Carvalho on loan next season.
Carvalho has struggled for opportunities since signing for Liverpool from Fulham last summer with the midfielder restricted to just four Premier League starts and 343 minutes of action during a frustrating first season at Anfield.
The 20-year-old arrived with a growing reputation after starring during Fulham’s promotion campaign, but has failed to break into Jurgen Klopp’s plans and has been linked with an exit.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that multiple Premier League clubs are interested in signing Carvalho on loan for next season, while Liverpool have also received a permanent offer for his services.
Klopp admitted last week that the midfielder could depart on loan in search of minutes and praised Carvalho’s attitude during a difficult season.
“I think there is a possibility Fabio [Carvalho] could go on loan, but we will see. This was not the best year of his career, his young career,” Klopp said at his pre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool’s 4-4 draw with Southampton.
“No player has impressed me more than Fabio, that’s the truth. This very talented boy came here with big dreams and big expectations and it didn’t work out. His work ethic will give him a fantastic career.
“His reactions in a row [to not playing], I’ve never seen before, unbelievable.
“If we keep him, that’s all we will see. There are no plans for loans, we want to keep them if we can give them the opportunity to play, we’ll keep them because they definitely have the quality.”
Newly-promoted Burnley have been linked with a move, while former side Fulham are anticipated to be interested in bringing the academy product back to Craven Cottage.
