Arsenal are set to allow Thomas Partey to leave the club and have granted permission for the midfielder to explore a move to The Saudi Pro League.
Arsenal are planning to overhaul their midfield this summer and have seen an opening offer for West Ham captain Declan Rice rejected. The Gunners are also pursuing a deal for Chelsea’s Kai Havertz and Partey could move on as Mikel Arteta refreshes his engine room.
The Ghana international had a key role in Arsenal’s title challenge last season, but the north Londoners are prepared to allow the 30-year-old to depart.
90min.com are reporting that Partey has been given permission to explore a move to Saudi Arabia, as the nation looks to invest big money into their domestic league this summer.
Arsenal are hopeful that interest from Saudi Arabia could see the club receive a significant fee for Partey, potentially in excess of the £45m paid to sign the midfielder from Atletico Madrid in 2020.
Partey could join an exodus of Premier League names to Saudi Arabian football, with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, Hakim Ziyech, and Edouard Mendy and Wolves’ Ruben Neves among the players set to leave England for the Middle East.
