Manchester United have reignited talks with Adrien Rabiot regarding a possible summer move to Old Trafford.
United were heavily linked with a move for the Frenchman last summer, though despite reaching an agreement with Juventus, they were unable to reach an agreement on personal terms and ultimately moved on to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid.
According to The Athletic though, United have now reignited their interest in the World Cup winner and have made contact with his representatives ahead of a potential free transfer this summer.
Rabiot’s deal at Juventus is due to expire this week, and the Italian side are reportedly trying to convince him to sign a one-year extension where he is said to enjoy ‘a good relationship’ with Massimiliano Allegri.
However, Manchester United may be a financially more attractive prospect for the 28-year-old, who has already admitted he is keen to return to England following a spell with Manchester City in 2008.
“I have always said that I’d like to play in England in my career,” he said in December. “I still have that desire. I’d like to evolve in the Premier League.
“I haven’t got a Premier League team in mind right now. I haven’t chosen a team or anything. It’s a general thing.
“It’s the league, it’s the level of play that’s going on, that’s what attracts me most. It corresponds to my qualities.”
Rabiot made 48 appearances for Il Bianconeri last season, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in all competitions.
