Real Madrid are reportedly ‘ready to accept’ a €90m (£77m) offer from Liverpool for midfielder Federico Valverde.
Liverpool are interested in a deal to sign the Uruguay international as Jurgen Klopp looks to rebuild his midfield this summer and the Reds are understood to have proposed an offer worth a club-record £77m.
Valverde was named in the La Liga Team of the Season after a career-best campaign last term that saw the 24-year-old score 12 goals in all competitions, but El Nacional are reporting that the Spanish side are prepared to accept an offer from the Premier League.
Jude Bellingham’s arrival at the Bernabeu and the club’s need to raise funds to pursue a deal for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has made Valverde’s exit possible and Liverpool are hoping to take advantage and strike a deal.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Valverde, who has made 204 appearances in all competitions since signing for Real Madrid from Peñarol.
The central midfielder has often been used in a wide-right role under Carlo Ancelotti and an exit to England could allow Valverde to feature in his preferred position on a more regular basis.
